Administration

Charlotte Johnson - Principal
Welcome to Raymond Gabaldon Elementary School!
Dear RGE Families, Staff, and Community Members,
As an educator with 26 years of experience in the field, I am incredibly honored and excited to serve as your Principal. My commitment to student success, teacher empowerment, and strong community partnerships is at the heart of everything I do. Following my time as your Assistant Principal and having earned my administration certificate from the University of New Mexico in 2024, I am thrilled to lead our school into its next chapter of growth and excellence.
Our Vision for Success
My ultimate goal for Raymond Gabaldon Elementary is to foster a school culture rooted in collaboration, innovation, and excellence. I firmly believe that a thriving school is built on strong partnerships. Together with our dedicated staff and supportive families, we will cultivate an engaging environment where every student feels valued, every teacher feels empowered, and every family is an active participant in our shared success.
A Foundation of Experience
Before stepping into school administration, I spent years gathering a 360-degree view of education by serving in various roles, including:
-
Classroom Teacher
-
Instructional Coach
-
Curriculum Director
-
Assistant Principal
These roles have provided me with extensive, hands-on experience in data-driven instruction, professional development, and teacher mentorship—tools I am excited to leverage daily to support our instructional team and maximize student achievement.
On a Personal Note
Outside of school, my world revolves around my family. I am a proud mom of three amazing daughters and a loving grandmother to 10 wonderful grandchildren who fill my life with endless laughter and energy. I bring that exact same warmth, joy, and enthusiasm into our school every single day.
I look forward to working closely with all of you this year. Please feel free to reach out, say hello, and join us in making Raymond Gabaldon Elementary the best place for our children to learn and grow!
